Activity zone

Colors, animations, and animal characters accompany children in movement and help them better remember motor patterns. Each color assigned to a specific animal has its meaning and supports children in understanding and encoding movement information in a natural, friendly way.

Gymnastics dictionary

The Gymnastics Dictionary is a collection of simple terms and names of movements that help children understand what they are doing during exercises. Thanks to it, it is easier to name a movement, remember it, and perform it consciously.

Standing position

We assume an upright standing position with arms placed alongside the body. Feet are set parallel, shoulder blades are drawn together, and we look straight ahead.

Kneeling sit

We sit back on our lower legs (shins). Feet remain pointed so that the heels touch the buttocks. It's important to maintain a straight back and retracted shoulder blades. Hands rest comfortably on the thighs, the head is held upright, and we look forward.

Cross-legged sit

We sit in a cross-legged position. We place our hands on our knees, remembering to keep the back straight and the shoulder blades retracted.

Straddle

We assume a wide standing position (straddle). Shoulder blades remain retracted, and hands are joined comfortably at the front or back at hip height. Feet are positioned parallel, remembering to maintain extension in the knee and hip joints.

Back support

The exercise begins from a seated straight-leg position with the hands supporting. We place our hands as far behind us as possible, with fingers pointing toward the feet. By pushing the hips upward, we transition into a back support position. Ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, and head should all be aligned in one line. Glutes, abdominal muscles, and spinal extensors should be engaged.

Lying on the back

We lie on our backs with legs together and straightened. Feet should be flexed (dorsiflexed), and arms placed comfortably alongside the torso.

Lying on the stomach

We lie on our stomach with legs together and straightened. Arms can be placed in front with hands clasped under the head or laid comfortably alongside the torso—in which case the head is turned to the left or right.

Sitting with legs straight

We sit on the floor with legs straight at the knees and feet flexed. We keep the back straight and shoulder blades retracted. Arms are placed comfortably on the thighs.

Kneeling position

We kneel on both knees with legs together and toes pointed. The back should be straightened and shoulder blades retracted. Knees, hips, and shoulders should be aligned in one line. Hands can be rested on the hips.
